Trekking In the land of Truffle and Barolo in Piemonte

 

Day 1

We arrive to the airport of Milano and transfer to the beautiful town at the foot of the Alps- Turin. Check in in the hotel and time to visit the “Capital of the Alps” Turin and its highlights.

Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2

Lets Hike the Turin hills overlooking this magic city . The 3km trip winds through the dense vegetation of the hill offers panoramic views of the city falling away below before we reach the breathtaking Basilica of Superga. The second main peak above Turin we must crossi is the Colle della Maddalena. For the dinner we will board to the vintage tram, for an evening tour while you get to enjoy a Your delicious meal, and listen to live jazz.

Dinner and Overnight.

Day 3

Check out from the hotel and transfer to the handsome town Alba. A close-knit range of hills and valleys which are crowded with tended rows of nebbiolo vines. We have time to visit this gastronomic capital so famous for white truffles and cheese and Ferrero chocolates. Hiking from Baldissero d’Alba and Montà to the ‘Rocche’ of the Roero.

Dinner and Overnight.

Day 4 From

Today we will cross from Alba to Neive untill we reach Barbaresco. We loop thought the vineyards of Barbaresco . Crossing up to hamlets of houses and groves of hazelnut trees. Following the wooden “truffle trees” we manage our tour of Barbaresco.

Day 5

Today we start our cross from Neive to Neviglie. The trail cuts mid-hill through the vineyards,walking through the area famous for producing four well–known wines: Barbaresco, Moscato d’Asti, Dolcetto d’Alba and Barbera d’Alba. On the way back to Alba we cross the hills between 400 and
500m above sea level.

Day 6

Today we transfer to Barolo region. It will be definitely the most interesting and charming tour of the Castle. We start from Felletti Castle, the home of the French Marquise Juliette Colbert (the lady who created Barolo wine)and follow amongst vineyards between pretty medieval villages . The pass brings you to the magnificent Castle of Grinzane Cavour, situated on a commanding hill . Once here we can visit its wonderful museum dedicated to the white truffle. We finish our cross and transfer to Monta for the overnight and delicious dinner.

Day 7

This morning we enjoy hiking between Baldissero d’Alba and Monte in the ‘Rocche’ of the Roero.
