Valle d’Aosta


Day 1: arrival of the clients at the airport and transfer to Aosta. Free time for dinner and overnight at the accommodation.

Day 2: in the morning visit of the Castle of Issogne one of the most famous castle of the whole region. This luxurious Renaissance residence known for its frescoes rare example of Alpine medieval painting, its fountain of the pomegranate and its internal courtyard. Typical lunch based on local products. On the way back to Aosta, short stop to visit the charming village of Arnad. Free time for dinner. Overnight at the accommodation.

Day 3: departure for the Cogne Valley where start the excursion in the Gran Paradiso National Park. The route begins in Valnontey following a dirt track leading to the village of Valmianaz, considered the best example in the Cogne valley of local architecture. On the way visit the bog Pra Suppiaz. Exceeded Valmianaz continue an easy path that passes close to the amphitheater before the glacial Valnontey and then the Pont de l’Erfaulet. Free time at disposal for lunch and relax. Return to Aosta and overnight at the accommodation.

Day 4: departure for visiting the Castle of Sarre, built in 1710 which later became the private residence of the House of Savoy. It stands on a promontory and has a beautiful view of the plain below. In the afternoon continuation to the Castle of Fenis, one of the most significant examples of medieval architecture, this Castle is different from the others of the region because it stands on a plain and it was not built with military and protection purpose. Return to Aosta and overnight at the accommodation.

Day 5: guided tour of Aosta to discover its monuments: the Theatre, the Porta Pretoria, the Walls, the Arch of Augustus and the church of Sant ‘Orso, patron of the city. Free afternoon at disposal for shopping and relax.

Day 6: transfer to the airport. End of our services.
